It’s the holiday season and to get into the spirit – I bring you a Dance Magic Christmas Carol! Now you’ll have to hum the tune yourself, and hopefully you can forgive the liberties I’ve taken with this Christmas classic. But if you can do that, I give you:
“The Twelve Days of Christmas, Dance Magic Style!”
Okay, here we go:
“On the First day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: One Future Dancer! (How cute is she???)
On the Second day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Two Dancers Waiting, (and giggling!)
And One Future Dancer!
On the Third day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Three Stretching Cheer-Dancers,
Two Dancers Waiting, and One Lovely Singer! (with her teacher Miss Kayla – see how I switched it up there?)
On the Fourth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Four Dancing Teddy Bears (from last year’s show – still adorable!)
Three Stretching Cheer-Dancers, Two Dancers Waiting, and One Lovely Singer!
One the Fifth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Five Smiling Friends!
Four Dancing Bears, Three Stretching Cheer-Dancers, Two Dancers Waiting, and One Lovely Singer with her equally Lovely Teacher!
Whew! Anyone else need a breath? Okay… and heel, toe, away we go again!
On the Sixth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: 6 Prancing Posers! (From Miss Robin’s jazz class of course!)
Five Smiling Friends! Four Dancing Bears, Three Stretching Cheerers, Two Dancers Giggling, and a Christmas Tree filled with beautiful Dance Magic Stars! (Oops, switched it up a bit there too – this song is loooong!)
On the Seventh day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: 7 Leaping Cheerers! (Lovely leaps ladies!)
Six Prancing Posers, Five Smiling Friends! Four Dancing Bears, Three Ladies Stretching, Two Dancers Giggling, and a Basket full of Dancing Frogs! (I keep mixing it up don’t I? You just never know where this song will go!)
On the Eighth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Eight Dancers Bopping (head bopping that is!)
And…. well, you fill in the rest. I need to catch my breath!
Okay!! On the Ninth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Nine Ladies Twirling, (also from last year’s show, aren’t they sweet?)
Eight Dancers Bopping, Seven Ladies Leaping, Six Posing Prancers, Five Smiling Friends! Four Dancing Teddys, Three Stretching Ladies, Two Dancers Waiting, and One Playing Pianist! (With one teacher, teaching – Miss Rhonda!)
Since we’re so close to the end – I suggest we just skip through the last 3 quickly. Okay everyone, ready? You might want to use your Chipmunk voices, this is going to be speedy!
On the Tenth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Ten Tiny Dancers (and their Mommy’s too!)
On the Eleventh day there was an entire group of Dancers for Bring a Friend Week! (Okay so it’s more than 11, and it doesn’t really fit in the song…)
And Finally! On the Twelfth day of Christmas, Dance Magic gave to us: Miss Petunia Pointe! (She’s the perfect dancer to help me finish this song don’t you think?)
Eleven Bring-A-Friends, Ten Tiny Dancers, Nine Twirling Ladies, Eight Heads a Bopping, Seven Ladies Leaping, Six Prancers Posing, Five Friendly Friends! Four Little Bears, Three Ladies Stretching, Two Waiting Dancers – and Miss Petunia Pointe!!
Now that I’ve completely exhausted you all – let me fill you in on a little of what’s going on this week at our favorite dance studio! December 16 – December 19 is Watching Week for all of our full year dance and music students, so be sure to stop in for the end of class and catch a peak at what everyone’s been working on!
Don’t forget about our Adopt A Family – if you want to purchase a gift for them, stop by the studio and pick up a gift tag! Or if it’s easier you can always donate money and the lovely ladies of Dance Magic will do the shopping for you, or put your money towards grocery gift cards. Any amount will help, let’s make sure this family has a wonderful Christmas this year!!
If you have a food bank donation, please leave it under the Christmas tree at either studio location!
Next week is our last week of dance before the Christmas break – and we’re not back until January 5 – so hopefully we’ll see you all for Watching Week starting Monday, before we break for the holidays!
Happy Holidays Everyone – I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season with your friends and family, and we’ll see you all in the New Year!!
