I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend; I know I certainly did! Did you eat far too much food and have far too much fun? The weather was fantastic, wasn’t it? We seem to be having one of those rare, lovely, long fall seasons here and I am enjoying every single day!
There’s lots going on at Dance Magic (as usual!) and I hope that you all got out this week for Watching Week to catch a glimpse of your dancers and what they’ve been up to. Even after 12 years of dance classes I still love stopping by on watching week and getting a sneak peak at what everyone is doing. If you weren’t able to make it this month, never fear – our next Watching Week is November 17-22!
In case you haven’t heard, we are hosting our second annual Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday, January 31! Last year’s event was a huge success and I just know this year’s will be just as fantastic! Tickets go on sale on November 3 at 9am, and we sold out in just a couple short days last year! This year we are using an online ticketing system, and you can check out the link on our website on November 3 to buy your tickets. If you’ve been following our Dance Magic Facebook/Twitter or Instagram accounts you have probably seen a few sneak peaks into the making of this magical event. We have been planning, and crafting, and organizing, and coordinating every single wonderful detail for months now and I can tell you – this is going to be one amazing evening!
All proceeds from this wonderful night will go to our Give the Magic scholarship fund. This is a program that gives deserving students scholarships for dance and music classes so that whatever their financial situation, they are able to benefit from an education in the arts. I know it’s only October, but our hard working Dance Magic staff and teachers are already preparing for this year’s big show. The dates this year are a little later than usual so here’s a little heads up so you can plan ahead:
Take 1 – Friday May 29th (6:00pm) + Saturday May 30th (2:30pm)
Take 2 – Sunday May 31st (1:00pm) + Monday June 1st (6:00pm)
Take 3 – Tuesday June 2nd + Wednesday June 3rd (6:00pm)
Take 4 – Thursday June 4th + Friday June 5th (6:00pm)
Bright new STARS show – Saturday May 30th 10:30am
Remember, you won’t be in every take so keep watching as the show dates for each individual class will be posted soon!
