Dance Magic Studio School of Music and Dance welcomes the public to celebrate the Grand Opening of its new dance studio in north Red Deer. The family friendly event will feature activities for all ages.

“We can’t wait to open our doors to the community to give people an inside look at our beautiful new studio and offer an opportunity to experience our programs first hand,” says Christine Slaymaker, owner of Dance Magic. “It will be an unforgettable event with live music, art lessons, dance performances of all types and sample classes that visitors can participate in.”
With rapid growth across all programs, Dance Magic built its new studio to meet demand for popular Dance and Music programs. The new location features a spacious and comfortable foyer, two dance rooms with viewing windows and professionally sprung floors, six teaching rooms for music and multi-purpose learning space.
Since moving into the new studio in the middle of January, Slaymaker and her team have added new programs as well. Dance additions include Aerial Silks and Acro, which incorporates gymnastics and flexibility with balance and strength control. New Music offerings include Viola, Violin, Group Ukulele, Drums and Banjo lessons. The Dance Magic team will use the learning space to offer a Performing Arts focused preschool starting in the Fall.
“A lot of parents have made New Years Resolutions to get fit and we can introduce them to fun and empowering dance classes like our Adult Funk Fitness or Aerial Silks for Adults to help them achieve their health goals,” notes Slaymaker. “We also have introductory Dance and Music programs for kids of all ages that can help put them on the creative path with excellent mentorship from instructors who are passionate about their areas of expertise.”
Parents can also learn about Dance Magic’s new Arts in Motion Preschool which is now accepting registration for the Fall of 2015. Red Deer’s first ever Performing Arts preschool will nurture creativity in young learners through academics, music, drama, art and dance.
There will also be a bouncy castle, healthy snack demonstrations, face painting, games and prizes. The Grand Opening is free and open to the public.
