Hair Styles, Tights + Make Up

Our dancers are asked to wear make up and have their hair done for recital! This allows the audience to see their faces with the bright lights and for them to look the same as a group during the year end show. Make up is optional for your photos, but is required for the year end show.

Make Up

Unless otherwise specified by your instructor, our studio make up is:

LIPS: Red Lipstick

FACE: Rosy Blush, Foundation/Concealer Optional

EYES: Brown Eyeshadow, Mascara and/or Fake Eyelashes, Eyeliner Optional

Tights

Unless otherwise specified by your instructor, our studio tights are:

BRAND: Mondor

COLOUR: Skin Colored or Ballet Pink (Ballet classes only). All tights should be footed (full length), unless your student participates in an ACRO/AERIAL THEATRE class, in which case your teacher will specify either footless or stirrup tights.

Shoes

Unless otherwise specified by your instructor, the footwear required for your class is as follows:

Jazz = Black Jazz Shoe (leather or gymnastic Slipper)
Tap = Black Tap Shoe
Ballet = Pink Ballet Slipper
Hip Hop + Tiny Hop= Black Running Shoe or Hip Hop Shoe
Lyrical = Beige Slipper
Modern = Bare Feet or Foot Undies
Acro = Bare Feet
Aerials = Bare Feet
Little Dancers (3-5yrs) = Black Gymnastic Slippers
