Celebrity Sighting at Dance Magic Princess Camp!
Dance Magic has been bustling this summer with camps and lessons for all ages and our young students have been learning all sorts of new moves! There were dancers learning cheers…
Monkeys climbing on bars…
Princess’s making jewelry to accessorize their outfits…
And lots of new dance moves to try, just like these adorable tappers!
I stopped by the studio last week and I happened to catch a rare celebrity sighting! Dance Magic’s Princess Camp was in full swing and looked who stopped by to join in the fun!
Oh my goodness – our princess campers were so excited! Princess Belle jumped right in, dancing with the younger princesses and even posing for pictures and signing autographs at the end of the day! Belle spent the afternoon with her young fans before returning to her castle, but she took the time to answer a few questions from her young fans before leaving. My favorite question came from one clever young camper who asked, “Was Gaston mean to you?” Belle shared with her young fans that although Gaston did have a few issues to work through early on, he has grown and matured and is learning from his mistakes. He learned the value of caring for others and not simply thinking of himself!
I think these girls had a fantastic day with Princess Belle, and we are so glad she took the time to stop by and visit the studio. (I heard a rumour that she may be stopping by again…so keep your eyes out, you never know who you’ll see at Dance Magic!!).
Of course there’s lots more going on at Dance Magic this summer, Zumba classes, music lessons – even a parade!
The Westerner Days parade was a huge success and Dance Magic’s float was moving and grooving with dancers!
Coming up in August is the Dance Extreme Summer Camp out at Camp Goldeye in Nordegg, and I can’t wait to hear about all the fun! I will be sure to share all the excitement with all of you!
In the meantime – I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer and enjoying some outdoor fun with your families! While we’re all vacationing and enjoying our summer break, Dance Magic is hard at work getting ready for the fall – did you hear the news? Our North Studio is moving! Dance Magic has a fantastic new space just east of Save On Foods on the north end! We have outgrown our little north studio and are busy at work building a brand new 6000sq ft space to house all our new programs! The new north studio should be open in December, but south end students never fear – we will continue to host classes at the Collicutt Centre location.
A new space means more new programs, including acro dance, more music lesson and even a performing arts preschool! Stay tuned and I’ll keep you updated on all the excitement!
Have a fantastic summer everyone!
