It’s been a few weeks since our fantastic year end show, (which was once again an amazing production!!) – and are you all missing dance yet?!?!  Are you suffering withdrawal symptoms – hearing the sounds of tiny tap dancing feet in your head?  Are your dreams filled with visions of sequins and tulle?  Do you find yourself humming the Dance Magic theme song to yourself when you think no one can hear you? (“Everybody look at us now,   you can see we’ve come so far…”)

Well I have good news for you!!  There are still bunches of ways to get involved with your favorite dance studio over the summer!  Check out the website or drop into the office and find out more about our great summer dance and music camps!  Join Miss Robin for drop in Zumba classes on Saturday mornings at 10:45 or Wednesday evenings at 6:45 at the north studio!  Don’t forget about student appreciation day at Carnival Cinemas on Sunday, June 22!  And don’t forget that registration for fall classes is coming up!!  Registration for new music students opens on June 9 and for dance classes on June 28!

There’s even another Dance Magic recital coming up – our music recital!  On Sunday, June 8 the Red Deer Lodge with be rocking with all our amazing music students!  Check out the website or stop by the studio for more information on this wonderful year end show!

But if you are missing your classes from this year, if you wish you could see the show just one more time – don’t forget you can still order a DVD copy of any of the 4 takes!!  There’s a link on the Dance Magic website and you can order it right from there.   And if you check out the DM Facebook page, I’ve noticed lots of people posting fantastic pictures from the show –and there’s even a new page from Lifetouch of gorgeous pictures taken by them during the shows!  Check those pictures out here using the password ‘spotlight’.

Congratulations to all of our amazing dancers on another fantastic year of dance – and congratulations to Miss Christine and all of the wonderful teachers at Dance Magic for all of their hard work and dedication!!  We can’t wait for classes to start again in just a few months!!

For those of you who joined us for last year’s Daddy Daughter Dance – you will be happy to know that we are already planning for next year’s event!!  It was such a huge success that we’ve outgrown our little Festival Hall and had to move our event to the ballroom at the Holiday Inn.   Don’t forget to Save the Date, Saturday January 30, 2015 for a fabulous night of dancing and fun for daddies and their little girls!  There will be lots more details to come – stay tuned for sneak peaks into all the planning fun!!

This event is near and dear to my heart – all of the proceeds go to benefit our Give the Magic scholarship fund, which helps struggling families provide dance and music lessons to their kids.  I can not emphasize enough how important it is for children to be given the opportunity to participate in arts programs like dance and music lessons!  The benefits to children are immense – not only do they learn to perform, but they also learn self-confidence, freedom of expression, they make lifelong friends and they have a blast doing it!  If you feel the way I do and want to support the arts, please consider donating to our Give the Magic scholarship fund.  And if you know of anyone who you feel could benefit from our scholarship program, please encourage them to apply!!  It’s super easy, all you have to do is tell us why you want to take dance or music classes!  You can write us a letter, send a video – whatever your can dream up to show us how much you love dancing, or music!

I hope you’re all outside enjoying the lovely spring weather we are finally having!  Stay tuned, there’s always lots going on at your favorite dance studio – and keep an eye out around town, you never know where Dance Magic will show up!   We caught Miss Christine (with the darling Miss Birkley) and Miss Robin out at the MS walk this weekend getting the participants warmed up with some sweet Zumba moves!  You never know where DM will be – see you soon everyone!
