Welcome to the Dance Magic Studio blog! There are so many exciting things going on at the studio right now and this is the perfect place to fill you in on everything!
This is our third picture weekend and the Collicutt Centre will be bustling with dancers in brightly colored costumes, sparkling makeup and lots and lots of hairspray! Everyone is super excited to show off their stage looks and to see what everyone else will be wearing. Don’t forget to arrive a little early and give yourself some time to make sure you have everything in place. (And it’s always fun to check out what the other classes are wearing too!)
Last weekend I watched a musical theatre class having their pictures taken; it was a room filled with itty bitty puppies wearing teeny tiny tutus!! Oh my goodness, tiny girls in teeny puppy ears and tails – is there anything cuter? There just may be – and I can’t wait until the show to find out!!
This weekend the senior tap class is getting ready for their picture debut, and I mustache you a question – what is your opinion on mustaches? Sorry, bad mustache pun – I’ll shave the rest for later. Just wait until you see them at the show!
Also practicing their tails off this weekend is our fantastic group of production dancers. They are hard at work rehearsing for their performance of Cats! It’s probably a good thing those tiny puppies had their pictures last weekend or there might be trouble. Rum Tum Tugger, now he’s a curious cat – and I’m not sure he could resist a room full of tutu-ed puppies!
